Sixty plus riders turned out in the sun for the Ivan Davis cup trial where ten sections were tackled four times.
Standlake wood was the venue an old disused gravel pit from days gone by.
The best adult performance on the standard white route would win the trophy.
On this occasion it was 250 Beta mounted Adrian Steele an Ixion member for many years and a winner of this silverware several times.
A fairly low score of six was enough to secure victory with only section nine proving awkward taking marks from all although Steele cleaned on his last visit.
A very tricky sandy camber approach before a steep but short bank then a sharp drop and left hand turn up over roots.
Dean Basford over from Evesham for the day lost ten to win the intermediate class with one of his marks a prod on section four a tricky wall of death turn with fallen trees and gullies to traverse.
Best Twinshock was Jon Bliss the Honda 140 coping with most sections adamantly.
Ryan Harris was best youth B whilst Alan Taylor had machine gremlins in the Pre 65 class and had to take an early bath.

The Expert route was certainly testing and a closely fought contest was won by Guy Kenyon-Bell finishing best of the thirteen starters.
Section five was taking a fair share of marks to begin, a new section freshly hacked through some undergrowth to reveal a fallen birch then a lace of roots up a gravel goat track, Guy took a dab on his first lap but then it was plain sailing for the RAF pilot.
Youth B contender Alicia Robinson had a bash at the hard route on the 80 beta and took first spot closely followed in by Bret Harbud 125 Beta.
The blue easy course was a little tougher than usual but we have to find a winner and this time it was Tim Davies on zero marks with runner-up Brian Taylor on one the 260 Mont just getting a fraction off-line at section seven a not for the feint hearted 10 yard drop then several fallen trees through dried out swamp to follow.
Many thanks to all the observers and the landowner.
Our next trial is at Cox's farm Beckley keep your eyes peeled for more info.

As always many thanks to the observers for braving the cold with sunny intervals weather.
