Common Hill Clumps was the venue for Ixions 4th club championship round and ten subs were ridden four times with mainly wooded banks and some mud of course.

On the hard route Michael Johnson 250 Beta was best posting a score of fifty and the only rider to clean section 2 a bottomless gorge of slurry and the occasional rock step.

This section has proved difficult in the past and a mechanical digger was hard at work early Saturday to try and make the going a little less tough but to no avail.

Scorpa mounted Alan Taylor was best Clubman on the standard white losing 32 three in front of Andy Kenyon-Bell who made the uphill section 5 look simple recording four cleans.

Top Novice today was Kevin Miller using all of his 300cc available to blast his way though section 10 a rather stiff muddy left hand affair with third gear engaged it was hang on and hope not to get spat off by the many rocks lurking below the surface.

A handful of Twinshocks were on parade today with Stefan Walters 200 Fantic just getting the better of Dave Fletcher 325 Suzuki who put a superb clean in on section 1 comprising a loose camber a drop over a stricken bough before turning over a low Willow on the edge of a bog.

Ben Hayes is on form at Ixion at the moment and put the best Youth B ride in and it's good to see all the youth riders enjoying riding some old fashioned muddy sections.

Blue eased route was again well supported with Kevin McCullagh taking the win from young Ben Skinner who in turn edged out Rabbit Allen on most cleans.
