58 riders turned out for the Annual Ivan Davies Cup which alos incorperated a round of the South Midland Centre Youth champs. Best youth "A" was Jamie Miller losing 5 marks on the hard route, others competing on this route were Experts and Inters with Martin Greeves taking the Expert Class parting with 17 after 4 laps of ten at the popular Beckley venue.

Mark Howkins 250 Beta was top man in the Inter class with a loss of 23. Section 5 was the toughest today with a long twisting bank and a steep drop into mud with a greasy climb out, very few cleans on this hazard were achieved.

Brandon Youngman was youth "B" victor with a creditable 10 marks lost on the standard white route. Young Harry Coleman battled away and was rewarded with a youth "C" first place riding the Blue eased-route.

The Ivan Davies cup is presented to the adult rider posting the best performance on the Standard white route and today it was Montessa mounted James Fletcher losing a miserly 4 marks with a three on section 5 and a dab on the rocky section 9. Jim Parker claimed the best Clubman crown whilst son Matt was best Novice.

In the Twinshock class Mark Stokes narrowly missed out on overall cup voctory but for a pussyfoot dab in the far field. A fair entry of Blue route riders were on parade with Paul Wickson TY250 returning a card of 13 and Matt Mullen lost 81 to take the British Bike award.
