Forty plus riders turned out for the penultimate round of Oxord Ixions 2008 club champs at a sunny but humid in the undergrowth Cox's Farm, they were to take in four laps of 10 sections on varied terrain.

Oxford regular Sean McCullagh 4RT was best Expert losing 32 with a slack stop at sub 5 spoiling a clean sheet, this hazzard a nadgery affair over tree routes and cambers caused problems for many riders although cleans were recorded often.

Darren Walters took the Inter class with a narrow one margin victory over Scott Faulkner,Darren going well on the ' bogged out ' section nine, this was a really tough muddy turn the line moving almost every visit.

On the 50/50 route London boy and welcome Ixion member for the year James Edwards son of Barnet Basher Mick had three brilliant cleans on Tom Mitson's Narrow Gully section opting for the more modern approach of jumping the ever deepening abyss rather than riding up it.

On the standard route best novice was Beta mounted Mark Howkins with a good overall ride cleaning every section at some stage,Tom Collett was best Pre 65 coaxing his what looked like road trim bantam around for 104 marks lost,

Battle of the day was between local motorcycle dealer Rob Faulkner TY 250 and Alan Taylor Bultaco,in the the end Rob came out a one point victor both enjoying these old fashioned sections in the Twinshock class.

Once again Adrian Steele's four stroke power took him to victory in the Clubman class ,section one proving a little testing on the later laps for all as watery sand and mud was dragged up the exit bank.

A mixed bag of results on the Blue easy route  with scores ranging from 25 to 125, on the lower end it was that man again K P McCullagh taking four singles prods at sub six a steep drop into a natural stream then thirty yards later a silty exit,

A creditable ride for first time out Patrick Toplis taking the Youth C honours .
